Carlin on Earth Day
Several blogs out there are presenting this stand up act of Carlin as their Earth Day offering.

Carlin reminds me of a crass but witty pre-Socratic philosopher, or perhaps a sophist or a cynic. He speaks both wisdom and folly, having insights into transcendent matters yet stubbornly remaining on the plane of ignorance, preferring to laugh and to deride the absurdity of human striving rather than looking toward its fulfillment.
